Godd morning - (Its 8:30 AM here EST USA)
If you are not getting any water into the ice maker first check the fill valve at the bottom rear of the frig. Two things that I do. Unplug the frig. Pull the quicjk disconnect plug off the fill valve. Take your meter and check for continuity accross the selonoid. No continuity, it is bad and replace the valve. The second thing that I do is take what we in the business call a cheater cord that we make up. We remove the quick disconnect from the fill valve and place the one end of the cheater cord on the fill valve and see if water comes into the ice maker when we plug the other end of the cheater cord into 110 volts.
One other thing to check is to make sure that the plastic tube at the top of the ice maker is not clogged with ice stopping water from coming in. If it is then you have to replace the fill valve.
Let me know.

There is continuity across the water valve coil no voltage present at the quick disconnect plug when engaged the water dispensely valve. I am interested in the resistance value of the coil on the main field valve. what sensor could create lack of voltage at the main inlet valve? If possible is there a step by step procedures available to trouble shoot this matter I am a female student currently enrolled at a vocational school. Water is present in the inlet water valve, Electrical the valve for other function can be heard when the dispenser is engaged,

By the way please us the forum so others can read this stuff and then a lot of the questions are already answered for other...thanks.
Never knew that resistance value of the coil. Here is what we do in the field.
We make up for our tool box a "cheater cord". (or you can by a cheater cord at a supply house already made up) We take an extension cord and cut off the side that accepts the plugs of other electical items. Leave the plug (male side) alone. Take the cut side and seperate the tha wires about 12" back. Then strip a 1/2" off each end and fasten alligator clips, one to each wire. Tape up with electrical tape all the is exposed except the tip that you need to fasten to seonoid. One to each spade onthe selonoid. Then plug the other end into an outlet. You are now by passing every thing in the frig and telling the valve to let water into the ice maker. Only do this for 15 seconds. Then see if you have water in the ice maker. If you do then the ice make is bad. If you do not then the valve is bad OR the line is clogged with frozen ice..
Hope this helps. Let me know but please use the forums to help me out.
Thanks for posting.
